DEADLINE FOR SUBMISION OF BUSINESS CASES EXTENDED UP TO 30 AUGUST   April 12, 2010, Premier Palace - Centre for CSR announced the beginning of the second national competition of business case studies on corporate social responsibility and invited companies to submit their best practices.   Cases of the companies extended up to 30 August 2010 for the following nominations: organizational management, employment law, human rights, and gender equality, community development, environmental protection, consumer relations, communications and reporting on CSR.

CSR MARKETPLACE IN UKRAINE – EXHIBITION OF SUCCESSFUL COMPANIES CSR SOLUTIONS IN THE    October 12, 2010 the first CSR MarketPlace in Ukraine will take place at the National Center for Business Cooperation "Ukrainian House (Kyiv). It will be an exhibition of successful companies’ solutions in CSR. Also in the one-day event the best projects will be award by the opinion of professional judges and visitors (furthermore, the best non-financial companies’ record will be separately note). Centre for CSR will create a web site of this project to promote succesful practices.

	READERS' CHOICE AWARD - AWARDS FOR BEST TRANSPARENT COMPANY NON-FINANCIAL REPORT   Kyiv, 6 July - held a public discussion "Why prepare non-financial reports: the idea of companies in Ukraine", organized by the Centre for Development of Corporate Social Responsibility ", during which Initiative Readers' Choice Award was presented -«The best report on CSR by the opinion of readers».

RESEARCH RESULTS «ROLE OF HR IN SUSTAINABLE COMPANY DEVELOPMENT»   The study "The Role of HR in sustainable company development, initiated and conducted by the Centre for Development of CSR" supported by Japan Co. Tobacco Ukraine International (JTI) is the first attempt to rethink the role of HR-department in building and implementing a strategy of corporate social responsibility in Ukraine. The study will create a lab “Role of HR in the sustainable development of the company”. One of the tasks will be building practical part of the publication (guide) for partnerships between departments CSR and HR.

DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL CSR STANDARD		DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL STRATEGY ON CSR
Dear colleagues, this year on May 17-21 in Copenhagen, after many years of hard work, the International standard on social responsibility ISO 26 000 will be adopted. However, today the question of own Ukrainian CSR standard creation came up. The National mirror committee 93/4 "Social Responsibility" has started the development and we present the first results of this work. More...		Two-year project "Development of a national agenda on CSR" assumes the creation of positive environment in Ukraine for the development of social responsibility. Planned Project activities are: representative survey on the awareness of CSR, the establishment of a national rating of CSR and awards for CSR promoting; National Marketplace of companies and NGOs project, training on CSR, the introduction of eco- ndicators in tenders and procurements, study visit s in countries, active on CSR, what will support of experience sharing and improving the image of Ukraine. Centre for CSR Development received a lot of questions on terms and definitions of Corporate Social responsibility, as very often people or companies prefer to give their own definitions of CSR. Therefore, we decided to provide  unique global definitions based on ISO 26000 CD  version.   More...
